OPPORTUNITY FOR A BAND 6 COMMUNITY CHILDRENS NURSE WITH AN INTEREST IN COMPLEX RESPIRATORY CARE
THIS POST HOLDER PROVIDES EDUCATION AND TRAINING TO FAMILIES AS WELL AS STAFF WITHIN AND OUTWITH THE RACH. PROVIDING AND MEETING THE DAILY CARE NEEDS OF CHILDREN WITH COMPLEX RESPIRATORY.
THIS ROLE WILL BE FULLY SUPPORTED BY A MULTI-DISCIPLINARY RESPIRATORY TEAM AND TEAM LEADER
POST REGISTRATION PAEDIATRIC EXPERIENCE REQUIRED, CANDIDATES WITH A BACKGROUND/ EXPERIENCE IN RESPIRATORY WOULD BE DESIRABLE.

Responsibilities- Provide education and training to families and staff within and outwith the RACH (Rosalind Children's Allied Health and Community Health teams).
- Meet the daily care needs of children with complex respiratory conditions.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary respiratory team and be supported by a team leader.
- Collaborate with colleagues to implement care plans and contribute to service delivery.
- Post-registration paediatric experience is required.
- Background or experience in respiratory care is desirable.

Additional information for candidates- As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
