Job Description
Overview

Hartshead Junior and Infant School is looking for an adaptable, motivated and enthusiastic Educational Support Assistant to join our friendly team. The role will be, predominantly, to support a pupil with an Education, Health and Care Plan supporting their learning and aspects of personal and medical care. The successful candidate will support with activities in school and will be required to travel to activities at various providers. The post is fixed term, to commence as soon as possible.

Grade 5: 15 hours Monday to Friday (12pm - 3pm) term time only.

Responsibilities
  • Support a pupil with an Education, Health and Care Plan, assisting learning activities and aspects of personal and medical care.
  • Support with activities in school and be prepared to travel to activities at various providers.
  • Be an adaptable team member contributing to a positive learning environment.
Qualifications and Qualities
  • Experienced practitioner.
  • Experience of working with Autistic pupils and pupils with medical needs is welcomed.
  • Team player who is flexible in their approach.
  • Willingness to work as part of an experienced and supportive team of staff and governors, and to engage with enthusiastic and happy children.
