EDM/ETL Developer

Hays Technology are recruiting an EDM/ETL Developer to join a leading organisation within the financial services sector. This is a permanent role based in Leeds, offering the opportunity to work within a high-impact technology division focused on data management and innovation.

Your new role
In your new role, you'll be part of a Master Data Management (MDM) Product Team, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions across the data life cycle. You'll take ownership of development tasks, contribute to peer reviews, and drive continuous improvement in coding practices and standards.You'll be responsible for building and refining EDM interfaces, mentoring colleagues, and ensuring performance, security, and scalability across solutions. You'll also work closely with stakeholders to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively.

What you'll need to succeed

Essential skills and experience

• Strong SQL, SQL Server and ETL skills
• Experience with MSBI stack (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS)
• Familiarity with version control tools (eg Git, Azure DevOps)
• Strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Desirable skills

• Experience in data warehouse design and usage
• Understanding of data modelling and database design
• Familiarity with batch scheduling systems
• Exposure to collaborative tools such as JIRA and Confluence
• Proficiency in S&P Markit EDM (v18+), including EDM Matcher, Load, Export, and UI would be desirable

What you'll get in return
This exciting role offers a salary between £40,000 - £48,000, depending on experience, along with excellent benefits including generous holidays, competitive pension scheme and hybrid working.
