EDI SME - S/4HANA Rollout Support - Netherlands - Hybrid

Our client is a global organisation undergoing a major S/4HANA transformation. To strengthen the Benelux roll-out, they are seeking an EDI specialist who can connect technical EDI insights with real business processes.

As the EDI SME, you will analyze how EDI is used across the organisation, link EDI messages to business events, and support multiple partners through the S/4HANA readiness phase.

Responsibilities

• Analyse EDI usage and its alignment with core business processes
• Connect EDI messages to Order-to-Cash and Forecast-to-Supply flows
• Support customer and carrier transitions to new EDI mappings
• Coordinate with the EDI IT team during S/4HANA implementation
• Establish EDI monitoring routines and documentation
• Facilitate global workshops explaining SAP process impacts

Required Skills

• Strong technical understanding of EDI standards (preferably EDIFACT)
• Knowledge of EDI mechanics: flat files, XML, message structures
• Solid grasp of business processes and their EDI dependencies
• Experience in project and change management
• Ability to collaborate across customers, carriers, and internal teams
• Not required: hands-on EDI mapping (handled by IT)

Contract Details

• Start date: 1 April
• Type: Freelance/Temporary
• Contract length: initial contract until end of July, following extension
• Workload: 4-5 days/week
• Location: Hoofddorp
• Time zone: CET
