EDI Engineer

Location: London/Hybrid

Salary: £60,000 + Benefits

A global retailer is seeking an experienced EDI Engineer to join its Digital & Data team. This role is critical in ensuring efficient electronic data exchange between the business and its partners, supporting operations through robust technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain EDI workflows and API integrations for orders, invoices, and shipments.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure compliance with EDI and API standards.
• Monitor and troubleshoot EDI/API transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Work with ERP and Order Management Systems to support end-to-end business processes.
• Maintain documentation and stay current with industry standards and best practices.

Skills & Experience

• Strong knowledge of EDI protocols (ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and transport standards (AS2).
• Hands-on experience with API design and integration (REST, JSON, XML).
• Familiarity with integration platforms such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, or Azure Logic Apps.
• Understanding of authentication protocols (OAuth2, JWT) and data security best practices.
• Exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and supply chain workflows.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
