We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join our growing team at our new Options Autism School - Claystone School in Luton. Bedfordshire.

Our New Options School will cater for pupils who have ASC and Complex Needs.

  • Salary: Up to £36,000 per annum
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday, 8.15am to 4.15pm
  • Contract: Permanent, Term Time only
  • Start: September 2025 or January 2026

About the Role

This new position has been created to support the expansion of our service and offers a unique opportunity to work in a specialist setting, delivering high-quality education aligned with our school values and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the needs of pupils with ASC and complex needs.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop individual education and behaviour plans.
  • Support the physical, emotional, and educational development of each pupil.
  • Maintain a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Contribute to school development initiatives and team meetings.

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher with Early Career Teacher status (ECT).
  • Passion for working with children with ASC and complex needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and ongoing professional development.
  • Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet diverse student needs.

About the school

Our new Options Autism School - Claystone School in Luton, Bedfordshire - opened in January 2025 and will serve 48 pupils aged 4 to 11 years, specifically supporting those with ASC and complex needs.

For over 16 years Options Autism have provided care and education to pupils, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties. As part of Outcomes First Group, we are leading our sector in setting and delivering new approaches that provide measurable outcomes for those in our care.
