Job Description

Have you recently completed your teacher training and are looking for the right KS1 environment to build strong foundations?

This well-resourced Gateshead primary school (around 330 pupils) has a strong Early Years and KS1 team, with consistent phonics outcomes and experienced staff. The school places high importance on structured routines and collaborative planning, making it ideal for an ECT.

They are seeking an ECT to teach a Year 1 class, with support from a parallel teacher and experienced KS1 Lead.

The Role:
  • Teaching a Year 1 class

  • Delivering phonics and early writing sessions

  • Supporting transition from EYFS to KS1

  • Developing assessment and planning confidence

  • Working closely with parents

Essential Requirements:
  • QTS

  • ECT status
