Job Description
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Root CauseAnalysis process for GOL
  • Support the Control Systems working group for GOL
  • Supportthe Operational Excellence development program
  • Coordination between the maintenance team and the EC&I team
  • Support the C&I team
Roles & Responsibilities Core Tasks, Responsibilities & Duties
  • Working inaccordance with the Cobalt Safety Rules, actively managing the subcontractors with the setting to work process and supervising contractors
  • Operating at alltimes safely, in line with Gladsmuir Core Elements & Expectations, and at all times adhering to the Cobalt Life Saving Rules.
  • Adhere to all Health, Safety and Environmental legislation at all times.
  • Assist theoperations team in understanding and applying elegant fault finding.
  • Working in linewith maintenance techniques and best practices.
  • Operating at alltimes safely, in line with Gladsmuir Core Elements & Expectations, and at all times adhering to the Cobalt Life Saving Rules.
  • Working with thecompany CMMS to assure accurate maintenance records, and comprehensive assetdata information.
  • Participate withthe CSWG providing interface and feedback for the site.
  • Engage with theOperations team for the development of robust and elegant fault findingprocess.
  • Become anintegral part of the Asset Maintenance Team, routinely liaising with otherareas of the business to effectively maximise the asset availability andutilisation.
  • Proactivelyprovide support to the GOL Management of Change process, raising instances for consideration, and supporting the assessment of other engineering changes when required.
  • Report unsafeacts and conditions within the GOL observation reporting tool and perform orassist with investigations when requested.
  • Share knowledgewith other operating assets.
  • Working withengineering drawings, P&ID's.
  • Assist withensuring all maintenance equipment is regularly checked and is complaint withHSE regulations and that any defects are reported.
  • Maintain a highstandard of housekeeping within the workshop and the rest of the facility
  • Conduct safetycompliance inspections and maintain records.
Ad Hoc Tasks, Responsibilities & Duties
  • Undertake any reasonable requests or tasks as directed by the Line Manager or CobaltManagement
  • Target Workbreakdown: 20% meetings, 40% direct supervisionand 40%guidance and development of Root Cause Analysis management

Qualifications / Experience
  • Existing rightto work in the UK.
  • Willingness totravel (Within UK)
  • A recognisedengineering qualification at HNC/City& Guilds/NVQ level 3 Electrical qualifications (or equivalent experience)
  • Previousexperience in an Energy from Waste facility, or power generation, orequivalent.
  • Able todemonstrate knowledge of E, C & I systems, including VSD's, distributionand various instrumentation.
  • Involvement inplant mobilisation and commissioning is desirable but not essential.
  • Workingknowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental legal requirements.
  • Demonstrableexperience working with Permit-to-Work systems.
  • IT literate and able to use Microsoft package as well as bespoke software (experience of MAXIMOor similar).
  • Energetic and enthusiastic.
  • Well versed to work in a high paced environment.
  • Comfort with ambiguous, ever-changing situations.
  • Self-starter individual with a can-do attitude.
  • Deadline-driven, result oriented, able to multitask and deliverson the promises.
  • Ability to break down and solve problems.
  • A solid team player who's also an independent thinker.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills: English (verbaland written both).
  • IT Proficient to manage everyday tasks (MS Office etc).
  • Knowledge of andfamiliarity with waste management and EfW sector
  • Good storytellerto explain issues at hand clearly and effectively.
  • Relevant H&Squalification (e.g. IOSH Managing Safely)
  • Familiarity of:
    • UPS Systems
    • Motor and DriveSystems
    • ElectricalDistribution Equipment
  • Membership of a relevant Professional Body (i.e. IET, InstMC)
