Early Years Teacher

Position: EYFS Teacher (Full-time, Maternity Cover)Location: Bootle, SeftonStart Date: 1st June 2026 - February 2027Salary: £145 - £190 per day (MPS1 - MPS6) - Pay to scale after 12 weeks (dependent on experience)Aspire People are working with a warm and welcoming primary school in Bootle, Sefton, who are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic EYFS Teacher to join their team on a full-time maternity cover basis from 1st June 2026 until February 2027.This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a nurturing and inclusive school community that prides itself on delivering high-quality early education. The school is looking for a confident and experienced EYFS practitioner who can seamlessly step into the role and make an immediate impact.Important: This position is open to experienced teachers only (MPS1 - MPS6) and is not suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs). Candidates must have at least one year of recent EYFS teaching experience.The Role: Teaching within a Reception or Nursery class, creating a positive and engaging learning environment. Planning and delivering play-based, child-centred lessons in line with the Early Years Framework. Supporting the individual needs of all pupils to ensure progress and inclusion. Working collaboratively with support staff and the SENDCo to provide tailored support. Promoting children's social, emotional, and language development through creative learning opportunities. Building strong relationships with parents and carers to support each child's development. Assessing pupil progress and maintaining accurate records in line with EYFS expectations. What We're Looking For: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) A minimum of one year of recent EYFS teaching experience (essential). Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development. A nurturing, proactive, and adaptable teaching style. Strong classroom management and organisational skills. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or the ability to obtain one quickly to meet the 1st June start date). The ability to provide two professional references.
