Early Years Senior Room Leader

St Mary's Under Fives are looking for a Senior Room Leader to join a friendly and small team at a pre school setting within the grounds of a local primary school in Marlborough.

We were rated Good on our last Ofsted Inspection.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate leadership skills and lead a team under the direction of the pre school Manager.
• Provide childcare for children aged 2 to 5 years.
• Deliver and ensure a high standard of learning, development and care for children.
• Work co operatively with the Manager.
• Manage the day to day running of the room.
• Act as an excellent role model to the staff team, showcasing high quality practice in all areas.
• Support and lead the team in planning and providing appropriate daily activities in line with guidance from the EYFS.
• Manage and supervise observation, assessment and planning in the room, ensuring all children are making progress.
• Uphold the highest level of safeguarding practice and ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with parents.

Qualifications: Essential

• Level 3 Diploma for Children & Young People's Workforce or equivalent.
• Maths and English GCSE grade C or above.
• Good administration skills and experience with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications: Desirable

• Excellent knowledge of EYFS.
• Paediatric First Aid.
• Food Hygiene.
• Basic Safeguarding - we take safeguarding children very seriously and you will be expected to complete a DBS application before the job commences.

We would expect staff to work flexible hours depending on the needs of the pre school and this can be agreed upon during the interview process.

The working hours of the pre school are Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 3:15 pm.

Staff also get paid overtime for any staff meetings.
