Early Years Practitioner (Level 2)
Academics in Canterbury are currently recruiting for a Level 2 qualified Early Years Practitioner to join a friendly, supportive, and well-established nursery team within a welcoming early years setting in Canterbury.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about working with children aged birth to five who thrives in a nurturing and busy nursery environment and enjoys making a real difference each day as an Early Years Practitioner in Canterbury.
The RoleAs an Early Years Practitioner, you will:
- Provide high-quality care and early education in line with the EYFS framework
- Create a stimulating, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Observe, plan, and assess children's development using Development Matters (2023)
- Contribute to summative assessments and developmental reports
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues within a supportive setting in Canterbury
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Hold a recognised Level 2 Early Years qualification
- Have recent experience working within a nursery or similar early years setting
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of the EYFS and child development
- Be confident completing observations and supporting learning outcomes
- Be proactive, caring, and a strong team player
- Supportive and experienced team environment
- Flexible working hours
- Generous holiday allowance, including a 2-week closure over Christmas and New Year
