Opened August 2024; part of MacMillan Hub community focused location.

Salary and Hours

Salary £30,188 - £34,452 (pro rated for sessional). 36 hours per week, 39 weeks sessional.

Role Overview

To support children in becoming confident, capable individuals by enhancing learning and development. Duties include planning and delivering high quality early years education, fostering children's autonomy, creating meaningful spaces and experiences, and collaborating as an effective team member.

Responsibilities
  • Work shift patterns within the centre between 07.45 and 18.00, Monday Friday, with occasional late shifts on rotation.
  • Plan, implement and evaluate learning activities in line with early years frameworks.
  • Support children in developing independence, social skills, and cognitive growth.
  • Maintain a safe, stimulating environment and implement health & safety procedures.
  • Participate in professional discussions, share best practice and contribute to the setting's ethos.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Level 7 SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People) or equivalent.
  • HNC Childhood Practice.
Required Checks

Must be eligible to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Scheme or undergo an update check. If you have been abroad for 3 months or more in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check is required.
