Ear, Nose & Throat Specialty Doctor

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust (PAHT) is looking for two enthusiastic and motivated Specialty Doctors in ENT to join our dynamic and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to work across our sites in Harlow, Bishops Stortford (Herts & Essex Hospital) and Epping (St Margarets Hospital), delivering highquality elective and emergency ENT care.

Main duties of the jobYou will work at registrar level, contributing to a broad range of ENT services across outpatient clinics, emergency care and SDEC. Duties include:
- Running elective and emergency ENT outpatient clinics
- Managing ENT emergencies and inpatient referrals
- Overseeing ENT SDEC, including equipment and consumables
- Supporting junior doctors through teaching and supervision
- Participating in the oncall rota at Broomfield Hospital
- Taking part in audit, research and quality improvement
- Contributing to departmental protocols and induction programmes

Job responsibilitiesWe're seeking doctors who are confident and competent in managing ENT presentations at ST1/2+ level and able to work independently in emergency clinics. Essential attributes include:
- Strong clinical ENT skills
- Ability to manage everyday ENT emergencies
- Experience teaching junior colleagues
- Adaptability, teamwork, and ability to work under pressure
- Full driving licence
Desirable qualifications include MRCS, DO-HNS, EBORL, and experience in audit or research.
