Location: Singapore

What you will do:

Workplace Options is seeking a qualified full-time EAP Clinical Counsellor to join our clinical team in Singapore. Our EAP Counsellors engage with participants via phone, video, chat, and email, demonstrating the Power of a Good Conversation - creating connections that ensure clients feel heard, supported, and cared for.

If you are a mental health provider eager to offer emotional support with warmth and empathy to diverse clients worldwide, this role is for you.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide telephonic and video counselling, in-the-moment support, and crisis management ethically and professionally, maintaining confidentiality.
  • Thoroughly assess clients for suitability for short-term counselling.
  • Manage high-risk calls and work closely with at-risk individuals.
  • Refer clients to external resources or internal WPO services as part of a holistic approach.
  • Develop clear, concise treatment plans collaboratively.
  • Maintain accurate clinical and task-oriented documentation in the case management system.
  • Perform any additional tasks deemed necessary by management.

Qualifications/Skills:
  • Master's degree in counselling or related field.
  • At least two years of post-master's direct client contact experience or 500 hours of clinical contact.
  • Full membership with Singapore Psychological Society, Singapore Association for Counselling, Singapore Association of Social Workers, or equivalent.
  • Eligible for registration with the Singapore Registrar of Psychologists or equivalent.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English, with excellent communication skills in both.
  • Experience with assessments and clinical tools.
  • Knowledge of short-term modalities like Solution-Focused, CBT, Mindfulness, etc.
  • Training in crisis intervention is advantageous.
  • Passionate about supporting clients globally.
  • Culturally sensitive; able to use telephone interpreters if needed.
  • Experience working with clients facing substance abuse, crisis situations, mental health symptoms, or family issues impacting work or personal life.
  • Proficient in contact methods: phone, video, email, text, live chat.
