EAL Teaching Assistant

About the role: Support pupils with English as an Additional Language to access the curriculum and make rapid progress in reading, writing and speaking.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver small-group and 1:1 language interventions matched to need

Pre-teach key vocabulary and scaffold classroom tasks

Support teachers with differentiated resources and assessments

Promote confidence in communication across the school day

Requirements:

Strong spoken and written English; an additional language is advantageous

Experience supporting EAL or literacy interventions (school or tutoring)

Positive, patient and culturally sensitive approach
