Overview
We are seeking an experienced Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) Solutions Architect for an 18-month fixed-term contract based in Montreuil, France. This role will be instrumental in leading the architecture and solution design for a large-scale D365 F&O implementation. As the internal subject matter expert, you will work closely with an outsourced delivery partner, ensuring all solutions meet business needs, align with architectural standards, and support long-term scalability. You will act as a "smart customer" challenging assumptions, reviewing designs, and ensuring that the partner delivers robust, compliant, and fit-for-purpose solutions.
This is a strategic and hands-on role that requires deep technical and functional understanding of D365 F&O, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to bridge the gap between business and technology.

Role and Responsibilities

• Serve as the internal authority and subject matter expert for Dynamics 365 F&O architecture and design
• Act as the key liaison between the business and the outsourced implementation partner, ensuring solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with internal requirements
• Review and challenge partner designs, configurations, and technical approaches to ensure quality and alignment with business goals
• Lead internal understanding of the D365 solution translating complex technical details into clear, actionable insights for business stakeholders
• Provide end-to-end architectural oversight for integrations between D365 F&O and other enterprise systems
• Define and maintain architectural and technical documentation throughout the project life cycle
• Support planning, testing, deployment, and post-go-live phases ensuring stability and continuous improvement
• Ensure alignment with security, compliance, and data governance standards
• Actively monitor Microsoft product updates and industry trends to recommend improvements or innovations

Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of experience as a Dynamics 365 F&O Solutions Architect, ideally across multiple implementations
• Strong knowledge of D365 F&O modules including Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Projects, and Reporting
• Experience working with third-party implementation partners, including the ability to act as a "smart customer" to validate and challenge technical decisions
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as the internal expert in a delivery environment
• Hands-on experience with system integrations, including use of Logic Apps, Data Management Framework, and other Azure services
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with structured delivery methodologies (Agile or Waterfall)
