Job Description

Title: Interim Customer Success Manager/Customer Delivery Manager (DV Cleared)
Location: Hybrid with 1-2 days onsite (Cheltenham/London), some potential international travel
Contract Duration: 6 months, with potential extension or permanent role
Day Rate: to £650 per day

Role Overview

Lead the successful delivery and ongoing customer success initiatives for a cutting-edge AI security technology startup in a critical growth phase post-Series A funding.

Manage full customer life cycle, build trusted relationships with government and defence clients, ensure seamless onboarding, adoption, and renewal, and act as a key liaison between clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive customer success and service delivery, ensuring high satisfaction and contract compliance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with cleared clients and stakeholders.
  • Lead onboarding, adoption, and support escalation management.
  • Monitor customer health, identify risks, and proactively resolve issues.
  • Support sales through upsell and retention activities.
  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to tailor solutions.
  • Conduct client reviews and feedback gathering for continual improvement.
  • Travel as required to client locations and occasional international sites.

Required Experience

  • Proven track record in customer success or delivery management roles in SaaS, cybersecurity, or government/defence sectors.
  • Experience managing relationships at senior levels in security-cleared environments.
  • Active DV clearance mandatory.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Comfortable working in dynamic startup environments with funding milestones.
