About the Duty Manager Role

The Duty Manager directs strategic initiatives and objectives of the hotel and manages day-to-day operations through engagement of the team. All members of the department work together to create memorable moments for guests in line with both company and hotel-specific service standards, and collaborate closely with other departments within the hotel.

As an ambassador for your hotel and the wider Leonardo Hotels estate, you demonstrate the company vision, mission and values. You treat others with respect, dignity and fairness.

As a Duty Manager, you support the senior operational team to keep the hotel running like clockwork and ensure our guests have an incredible experience. You supervise day-to-day hotel operations, ensure every stay is special, and inspire a vibrant team to exceed our guests' expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Get out and about in the hotel, greeting guests and motivating the team to deliver great hospitality
  • Have strong operational knowledge and work across departments as required
  • Support other managers with interviews and recruitment as a team effort
  • Coach and train new starters so everyone feels confident in their new role
  • Have excellent problem-solving skills with the confidence to manage conflicts or complaints seamlessly
  • Collaborate with the local HR team to host engaging activities for the team
Qualifications

Preferably have experience working in a branded hotel or restaurant.
