DT Teacher

DT Teacher required for September start in Birmingham at a supportive and well-established Secondary School. This DT Teacher role is full-time and will involve teaching Design Technology up to KS4. The school is looking to appoint a DT Teacher from September, with the potential for the role to continue until Christmas.

The school offers a welcoming environment with supportive staff and strong leadership. This DT Teacher opportunity would suit a passionate Secondary Teacher who can deliver engaging lessons and build positive relationships with pupils and staff. Although initially temporary, this DT Teacher position has the potential to be extended for the right candidate.

Job Role

• Teach Design Technology up to KS4
• Full-time DT Teacher role
• Starting in September
• Potential for the role to continue until Christmas
• Deliver engaging and effective DT lessons
• Follow the National Curriculum and adapt lessons to meet different learning needs
• Maintain strong behaviour management within the classroom
• Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback
• Build strong relationships with pupils and staff within the Secondary School

Required Skills and Experience

• DT Teacher, Secondary Teacher, Supply Teacher
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT)
• Experience teaching Design Technology up to KS4
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Good understanding of the National Curriculum
• Passion for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
