Location: Haydock

Employment type: Full Time, Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, with overtime opportunities available

About the role

Working as a 2nd member of a team on a Unit specific to your role, visiting all types of clients - commercial, residential, industrial, rail, road, utility, etc. - across the UK carrying out Asset Inspections. Teams generally consist of 2 members and you will be expected to follow instructions from the Engineer(s) on site as well as your Project Supervisor but also work under your own initiative where possible.

As a Drainage Technician you will Operating the following equipment day to day based on specific role
  • CCTV Unit
  • HGV Jetting Unit
  • Jet Van
  • Survey/Asset Van
  • Patching or Lining Unit
Additional responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all aspects of Health and Safety, Quality and Environment.
  • Ensure Company policies are always adhered to.
  • Ensure all site related incidents are reported to your Supervisor.
  • Contribute and react swiftly to resolve problems before they escape quality controls.
  • Work closely with associated Engineers, ensuring all aspects of work are completed on site.
  • Contribute towards producing high quality results, reports and feedback.
  • Always establish good relationships and communication and resolve issues and early resolution of any potential problems.
  • You need to be flexible too: we operate 24/7 so there will be early starts, weekend working and an out-of-hours working across the UK.

This role would suit someone who likes to work flexibly, our teams operate 24/7 so there will be early starts, weekend / and out-of-hours working and in return we really value and develop our colleagues. Having utilities knowledge is a bonus, but working within a customer service or focused environment is essential along with having worked in a health and safety focused environment. You will be self motivated, professional and a team player!
