Drainage Engineer / CCTV Operative - Harestock

Working hours:Monday to Friday 06:00 - 16:00 - 50 hour week
Principle Duties and Accountabilities:Drive and operate specialist CCTV underground pipe survey rig, working on private and public land in strict accordance with statutory health, safety, and environmental procedures.
Roles and Responsibilities:- Interpret survey results and prepare comprehensive condition reports to industry standards
- Undertake basic H&S vehicle checks at the start and finish of each shift
- Report all defects, accidents and near misses immediately to line manager
- Ensure all jobs are correctly documented with work tickets submitted at the end of each shift
- Maintain the driver's log book in compliance with MOT rules and procedures
- Ensure the condition of all issued personal protective clothing and equipment remains fit for purpose, clean and free from defects
- Keep the vehicle and equipment washed down on a weekly basis, free from rubbish
- Undertake ad-hoc duties as and when your vehicle is off the road or you are required to assist other field teams in exceptional circumstances
- Attend meetings, medical and training courses as required
Health & Safety:
Section 7 of the Health & Safety at Work Act (1974) states the general duties of employees at work

(b) as regards any duty or requirement imposed on their employer or any other person by or under any of the relevant statutory provisions, to co-operate with them so far as is necessary to enable that duty or requirement to be performed or complied with
CCTV Operative Health and Safety Responsibilities are:
- To understand and comply with the company health and safety policy
- To influence and promote a positive health, safety culture within the organisation and lead by example
- To ensure all works activities are carried out in a safe manner in accordance with legislative, company policies, procedures and the works RAMS
- To carry out comprehensively and complete in full, all company required health and safety site documentation
- To ensure the company health and safety documentation is read and understood on the tablets
- Ensure VPR's are carried out and completed in full
- DRA's are to be carried out for every job and updated where required
- To report all health, safety and environmental incidents to the Line Manager within 2 hours of it happening
Qualifications / Competency:
- Flexible with working hours (we can be very reactive at times and teams are expected to assist as much as they can)
- Must hold a Full UK 7.5ton Drivers License
- Standpipe Usage Competency Training
- Must have the ability to take on responsibility of working within very controlled guidelines and environmental regulations
- Able to deal with the public in a polite and friendly manner
- Able to work with a minimum of supervision and to receive instructions remotely
- Report into management when required and to complete work tickets, log books etc.
- Work consistently to high standards of health and safety
