Job Description
We're looking for a Door Supervisor to ensure the security of the venue is always maintained and that licencing objectives are adhered to. You will ensure the Venue's licence conditions are adhered to and challenge 25 is enforced.
Your day to day activities- Attend shift briefings to ensure areas of concern have been noted so a keen eye can be kept on these.
- Respond to any concerns regarding health and safety and complete relevant documentation.
- Ensure effective communication both in person and via radios.
- Incident reporting.
- Maintain a safe environment for customers and staff.
- Searches for weapons, drugs, or prohibited items.
- Support with Emergency evacuation procedures when required.
- Enforce entry policies (ID Checks, intoxication levels etc).
- Deal with conflict calmly and use de-escalation techniques when possible.
- Handle complaints and customers professionally.
- Maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
- Ensure all exits, fire exits, and emergency routes are unobstructed.
- Respond to incidents quickly and professionally (Fights, medical incidents, disorder).
- Someone who demonstrates our values of warm hospitality, innovation, eye for detail and craftsmanship in everything you do.
- You will be confident in dealing with complex situations and resolving them to a satisfactory conclusion.
- A confident communicator able to deal with varied situations as they arise.
- Able to follow processes and company standards.
- Proven experience in a busy and sometimes demanding hospitality environment would be desirable.
- Previous Security experience is desirable.
- Experience/understanding of Licencing and the objectives desirable.
For this role, it is essential that the candidate holds a valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
