Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care duties such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Help users with mobility and physical activities to promote independence.
• Monitor users to ensure safety, comfort, and well being.
• Communicate effectively to understand users' needs.
• Keep accurate records of observations, care plans, and progress.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
• Support users' emotional wellbeing through conversation and activities.
• Adhere to health and safety rules while providing care.
• Assist with household chores as required.
• Safely handle and record medication following protocols.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a care home or as a home care worker is helpful but not required.
• Good spoken and written English communication skills.
• Basic IT skills for maintaining digital records and communicating with team members.
• Demonstrated desire to serve people and a commitment to provide the best care possible.
• Ability to work well with others and be self motivated.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.
• Availability to work on weekends, evenings, and bank holidays.
• Ability to remain calm and handle challenging situations, setting clear limits when necessary.
• Enhanced DBS check with a good clearance (required before the start date).
• Full UK driving licence and ability to drive your own car.
