What You'll Be DoingAs our Domestic/Laundry Assistant, you'll play a vital role in enriching the lives of residents by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the premises and ensuring the efficient laundering of clothes, linens, and other washable items. The role contributes to a safe, clean, and pleasant environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Laundry Duties- Collect, sort, and wash laundry items (e.g., clothing, bed linen, towels).
- Operate washing machines, dryers, and ironing/pressing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Fold, iron, and store laundered items appropriately.
- Label or identify personal laundry if required.
- Ensure infection control procedures are followed.
- Report any faulty laundry equipment or maintenance issues.
- Clean designated areas including bedrooms, bathrooms, communal areas, and kitchens.
- Vacuum, dust, mop, disinfect surfaces, and remove rubbish as needed.
- Refill supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
- Follow cleaning schedules and procedures in accordance with hygiene and safety standards.
- Notify supervisor of any hazards or repairs needed in the premises.
