Domestic/ Catering Assistant

MPA are currently recruiting Domestic Assistants to work with our client based in the Magherafelt. This position would be based in hospital and healthcare settings. Working hours are as follows:

Hours are Monday - Friday 4pm - 8pm

• Cleaning of all furniture/fittings and general dusting duties.
• Floor maintenance duties to include use of vacuum cleaners, buffing and scrubbing machines.
• Cleaning all sanitary areas.
• Cleaning of walls, picture frames, noticeboards, handrails, and spot cleaning of windows.
• Communicate with staff and others in relation to ward cleanliness, including intensive cleaning.
• To ensure completion of hygiene records and documents as per HACCP (Hazards Analysis Critical Control).
• To ensure staff maintain high standards of cleanliness and tidiness of all catering areas.
• To support and assist as required in preparation and service of food and beverages for staff, patients visitors and hospitality functions.
• To ensure food regeneration and service to patients and staff is carried out to the required standard.
• Assist with the management of stock; ordering, receipt, rotation, storage, stocking up and stock taking as required.
• Supporting staff in the operational use of all catering equipment.

• Knowledge of role of a Domestic/Catering Assistant.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety.
• Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and follow written instructions.
• Willingness to work Mornings, evenings and/or weekends.

• Pay £12.71.
• Weekly pay.
• Holiday allowance.
