Job Overview

Care centre for adults with learning disabilities, position involves working as part of a team to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the care centre. We have online training for all staff.

Main Duties & Responsibilities Key Tasks

• Daily Cleaning
  • Empty waste bins and wipe out.
  • Vacuum throughout.
  • Shake out cushions.
  • Clean dining rooms/lounges/toilets.
  • Clean taps and sinks.
  • Clean soap dispenser outlets.
  • Clean toothbrush holders.
  • Spot clean all floorings.
  • Wash all bathroom/toilet/en-suite floors.
• Weekly Cleaning
  • Polish all mirrors.
  • Clean all pipe work in toilets.
  • Dust handrails and radiators.
  • Move all mobile furniture (including beds and chairs) and vacuum and dust beneath/behind.
  • Wash out metal wastepaper bins.
  • Dust and polish furniture and windowsills.
  • Wash lino floors.
  • Shampoo carpets as requested by housekeeper.
  • Week 1 - Dust light bulbs and fittings.
  • Week 2 - Dust curtain rails.
  • Week 3 - Dust pictures.
  • Week 4 - En-suites deep clean.
  • Restock toiletries, soaps, towels etc as and when required.

Employer Expectations Skills/Knowledge/Experience

• Previous experience of a care home would be an advantage but not essential
