Domestic Assistant

Maintaining cleanliness within Worthing Hospital. The Domestics Department is looking to recruit a Domestic Assistant to join their team.
Working hours: Between Monday and Sunday (full time and part time, will be discussed during the interview).
Please note: This role does not meet the minimum criteria for visa sponsorship under the current UK immigration rules, which set specific salary and skill thresholds. Consequently, we are unable to provide sponsorship for this post. Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK to be considered.
Job responsibilities:
- Cleaning clinical wards/departments to National Cleaning Standards 2021 (training provided).
- Maintain confidentiality of information about patients, staff and other health service business in accordance with Trust Policy.
- Aid Hospital staff, visitors and patients, following Trust policies and procedures.
- Guide and direct visitors and deal with them in a helpful and friendly manner.
- Communicate sensitive information using tact and diplomacy when dealing with deceased family and friends.
- Actively participate in any departmental Information Technology initiative.
- Perform other duties within the grading of the post and as required by the Facilities Department.
- Work as a team member with a flexible approach within the Facilities Department.
Person Specification
- Ability to understand verbal and written communication and demonstrate good command of spoken English.
- Previous experience in a front line service and customer service awareness.
- Experience in a healthcare environment.
- Evidence of having championed diversity in previous roles (as appropriate to role).
- Evidence of having undertaken own development to improve understanding of equalities issues.
