Job Description
Doctoral Position in Sociology (part-time 75 %, E 13 TV-L) Reference no.: 2025/139. The start date is preferably October 1st, 2025. The position is initially available until September 30th, 2028, with the possibility of renewal. We are looking for a doctoral researcher in the working group of Prof. Dr. Susanne Strauss. Your tasks will include working on the research projects of the working group, which deal with quantitative research into gender inequalities in higher education and the labour market. A doctoral thesis is to be completed as part of the position. In addition, one seminar per semester in the area of gender inequality must be taught in the BA Sociology programme. Your Responsibilities Completion of a doctoral thesis Presentation of research results at (inter)national conferences Collaboration on further publications One course per semester in the field of gender inequalities Your Competencies Completed Master degree in sociology or another social science Very good knowledge of quantitative methods of empirical social research.
