The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified and motivated Dispensing Optician Manager to lead the team and help shape the future of this thriving Henleaze practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, delivering exceptional client care, and fostering a positive, high-performing team culture

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the practice to ensure smooth, efficient service delivery
• Deliver expert dispensing services, guiding clients in selecting frames and lenses tailored to their needs and style
• Mentor, develop, and support team members to achieve personal and professional growth
• Maintain excellence in client service, ensuring every interaction reflects the practice's values
• Manage appointment bookings and workflow to optimize the client journey
• Stay informed on the latest trends in eyewear and lens technology to support client recommendations
• Ensure full compliance with GOC regulations, health & safety policies, and internal procedures
• Contribute to business growth through client retention, referrals, and service enhancements

Requirements

• GOC-registered Dispensing Optician (FBDO qualified)
• Clean and faultless GOC record
• Previous experience in a management role is preferred
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• A client-first mindset with a passion for premium products and personalised service
• Proficiency with optical systems and general computer literacy
