Dispute Resolution Design Manager
Posted 18 hours 58 minutes ago by The Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman
We make final decisions on complaints that have not been resolved by the NHS in England and UK government departments, and other UK public organisations. We do this independently and impartially.
We were set up by Parliament to provide an independent complaint handling service.
We are not part of Government, the NHS in England, or a regulator. We are neither a consumer champion nor arbitrator.
Our service is free for everyone.
About the roleThe Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman is the independent organisation with responsibility for making final decisions on complaints that have not been resolved by the NHS in England and UK government departments.
We are due shortly to publish our new 3-year corporate strategy and as our Alternative Dispute Design Manager you will have the opportunity to lead on delivery of crucial elements of our new strategic objectives. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you will initially be responsible for researching and designing models of early and alternative dispute resolution that we can then pilot in our casework. Identifying best practice from across the ombudsman and wider justice sector, you will develop approaches to dispute resolution that best fit with our service model and devise ways we can most effectively pilot them. You will also be expected to get involved with, and at times lead, other strategic priority projects.
With experience of operational policy development as well as pilot design and delivery, this is an exciting opportunity to lead a project from the ground up and deliver results that will make a real difference for many of those that use our service. With sound judgement, experience of securing buy-in for your ideas at the most senior level of an organisation and strong project management skills, you will play a key role in helping us expand our casework toolbox and improve our approach to complaint handling.
