Dispenser/ Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a dedicated Dispenser to join our healthcare team in 2 of our 5 GP Surgeries. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately preparing and dispensing medications, supporting patient care, and ensuring compliance with pharmacy protocols.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with pharmacy technician experience or those interested in developing a career in pharmacy services. The Dispenser will play a vital part in delivering safe and efficient medication management within our facility.

About us

Unity Health is a 7 Partner, 5 site GMS practice located in Buckinghamshire/Oxfordshire, with a growing patient list size of over 22K patients. Our five surgeries are located in Brill, Chinnor, Long Crendon, Princes Risborough and Thame.

We offer a full general practice service and provide more specialist services for children, pregnant women and those with long term conditions such as diabetes, asthma, heart disease and high blood pressure. We offer contraception advice as well as travel advice and immunisations.

Job responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with pharmacy guidelines
• Assist GPs with medication administration and patient care activities
• Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and patient information
• Ensure the proper storage, labelling, and handling of pharmaceuticals
• Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reordering supplies as needed
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including infection control procedures
• Assist in maintaining a clean, organised, and compliant dispensary environment

Person Specification Qualifications

• GCSE grade to A to C in English and Maths
• History of working in a community pharmacy or dispensary.
