Drive Operational Excellence in a Fast-Paced Manufacturing Environment Dispatch & Transport Manager

Your ability to coordinate logistics, transportation, and dispatch operations will play a critical role in maintaining customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and business performance.

This opportunity sits within a dynamic manufacturing environment where planning, operational leadership, and problem-solving are essential to ensuring products move seamlessly from production through to customer delivery.

What you'll achieve (and why it matters):
  • Lead the day to day dispatch and transport operations, ensuring customer orders are delivered safely, accurately, and on schedule
  • Coordinate transport planning, route optimisation, vehicle utilisation, and delivery schedules to maximise operational efficiency
  • Partner closely with Production, Operations, Customer Service, and Supply Chain teams to align delivery priorities with manufacturing schedules
  • Manage internal drivers, transport resources, and third party logistics providers to ensure consistent service delivery
  • Oversee the dispatch of finished products to customers across multiple locations
  • Monitor delivery performance, transport costs, service levels, and operational KPIs to drive continuous improvement
  • Ensure all transport activities are conducted in compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards
  • Identify operational bottlenecks, delivery risks, and scheduling conflicts, implementing solutions to minimise disruption
  • Manage fleet maintenance schedules, transport documentation, and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Support the implementation of process improvements that enhance dispatch accuracy, customer service, and overall operational performance
  • Respond effectively to changing customer requirements, urgent deliveries, and evolving production schedules in a fast paced environment
Your edge (desired, not required):
  • 3 5 years of experience in Transport, Dispatch, Logistics, Distribution, or Supply Chain Operations within a manufacturing, FMCG, packaging, retail distribution, or similar fast paced environment
  • Previous experience leading transport teams, dispatch operations, drivers, or logistics personnel
  • Strong understanding of route planning, fleet utilisation, transport scheduling, and delivery operations
  • Experience working closely with manufacturing, production, or warehouse operations
  • Proven ability to coordinate multiple priorities while maintaining high levels of customer service
  • Strong organisational, problem solving, and decision making skills
  • Experience managing third party logistics providers and external transport partners
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across multiple departments
  • Knowledge of transport compliance, health and safety requirements, and operational best practices
  • Experience using transport management, logistics, ERP, or dispatch systems would be advantageous
