Job DescriptionThe role will involve a combination of:
Subject Matter Expertise- Acting as a specialist in disclosure, maintaining up to date knowledge of disclosure law, procedure and best practice, and applying this expertise to complex matters.
- Supporting case and client teams by providing hands on assistance and project management throughout the disclosure process, including document preservation, collection, review and production.
- Ensuring that disclosure know how, experience and learning are captured, maintained and made easily accessible to the wider disputes practice.
- This role would particularly suit an experienced disputes lawyer seeking a knowledge focused position that still offers meaningful involvement in client work.
- Qualified lawyer with a minimum of eight years' post qualification experience in disputes at a leading law firm.
- Substantial experience of managing disclosure exercises in the Courts of England and Wales.
- Familiarity with common disclosure technologies and review platforms.
- Strong technical legal skills, particularly in relation to disclosure rules and relevant case law.
- A genuine interest in, and enthusiasm for, all aspects of the disclosure process, with a willingness to continue developing specialist expertise.
- Strong affinity for disclosure technology, including database tools, technology assisted review, artificial intelligence and specialist platforms.
- Desire to build and maintain a deep understanding of emerging technologies used in disclosure.
- Proven project management capability, with the ability to keep teams on timetable and meet demanding deadlines.
- Self motivated and proactive, with a high level of energy and initiative.
- Delivers work to a consistently high standard, with sound judgement and strong attention to detail.
- Highly organised, able to prioritise effectively and manage competing demands.
- Comfortable working under pressure and able to remain focused in fast paced environments.
- A senior, specialist knowledge role within a top tier disputes practice
