Disability Day Service - Teamlead

Location: On site / Coomlogane, Millstreet, Co. Cork, Ireland

Annual Fixed Salary: €41,600 per year

Barrog Healthcare provides day services that promote local community inclusion and support independent skills for users with disabilities. The Teamlead will support the Service Management Team in running the day service, managing and supervising staff, and ensuring a safe, caring, and inclusive environment for clients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct line management, supervision and leadership for the service in accordance with the service delivery model.
  • Manage the day-to-day delivery of a truly person-centred service for all clients.
  • Develop and maintain structures that ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Advocate for service users and staff, ensuring their views are sought and acted upon.
  • Ensure individual care plans are developed, implemented, and monitored in accordance with agreed standards.
  • Maintain good working relationships with parents, professionals, and agencies.
  • Report and record any incidents and maintain appropriate documentation.
  • Lead staff meetings and contribute constructively to care plan progression.
  • Perform various aspects of home management, including household budget and upkeep.
  • Ensure adherence to emergency procedures and relevant legislation.
  • Engage in ongoing professional training and development.
  • Attend regular supervision sessions and prepare reports for professional meetings.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
  • Permission to work in Ireland.
  • Relevant qualification: minimum a B.A. in Social Care, QQI Level 7, B.A. in Applied Social Studies or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years' experience working in disability / social care.
  • Experience supporting service users who may display challenging behaviours.
  • Experience managing people in a fast paced health / social care environment.
  • Proficient ICT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience/knowledge of report writing and client support plans.
  • Experience working in a residential setting.
  • Leadership experience.
