Director, Technical Program Management

We are seeking a Director, Technical Program Manager for the Transfer Solutions group focused on building and operating our Cross Border payments platform in the Treasury Management domain. This leadership role involves driving the engineering build of Treasury Management solutions to centralise cash, payments, and FX risk management within a single platform, supporting scalable growth across Mastercard's business.
Responsibilities- Planning, oversight, and end to end delivery of engineering work for globally distributed teams, including prioritisation, dependency management, and removal of impediments.
- Working across stakeholders (Treasury, Finance, Product) and vendors to ensure alignment, manage change and risk, and escalating issues as needed.
- Direct TPM responsibility for a number of engineering teams and leading a small group of TPMs on the same portfolio.
- Collaborating with architects, engineers, designers and business teams to debate delivery strategies and provide technical solutions to customer problems.
- Ensuring high quality deliveries from vendors and aligning on schedules and deliverables.
- Demonstrated ability to operate with independence and autonomy.
- Experience breaking down problems, organising work, planning sprints, and delivering technical programs in agile delivery models (scrum, Kanban, etc.).
- Executing projects from start to finish, with requirement gathering, project planning, and providing updates to management.
- Knowledge of infrastructure and modern cloud architecture.
- Proven track record of data driven decision making and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Fast paced software development experience, working across multiple dependency teams.
- Experience working with vendors and ensuring high quality deliveries.
- Ability to debate delivery strategy with business teams, architects, engineers and designers.
- Strong communication skills with impact, eloquence, and authenticity to executives, peers and staff.
- Building relationships, partnering with and influencing dependent teams while commanding respect across the organization.
- Previous experience in people management preferable.
- BS in engineering, computer science, project management or related discipline.
