As a Director, Project Management at ICON, you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects that advance clinical research initiatives.

What You Will Do

You will direct project and programme management activities, ensuring quality, efficiency, and alignment with business objectives.

  • May act both as an individual contributor and a people leader and may operationally lead and coach team members.
  • May be key client contact for designated clinical projects, drives and influences customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and repeat business.
  • Takes accountability for project(s) or program(s) delivery oversight on time, to budget, to the highest quality, and in compliance with ICH-GCP.
  • Enables team members to manage and deliver quality projects/programs on time to clients and achieve or exceed operational and financial metrics.
  • Works closely with relevant leaders and staff from other functions (Finance, Commercial, Quality, Business Operations, Talent Acquisition, etc.).
  • May contribute actively to proposal development and Bid Defense Meetings by using their knowledge and experience to develop innovative plans, operational strategies, and budget models.
  • Drives process improvement, risk assessment and mitigation, and execute quality.
  • Customizes and drives implementation of corporate initiatives outcomes across immediate team and within the function
Your Profile

You will bring significant project and programme management experience, with a track record of building high-performing teams and delivering results.

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline or healthcare-related field; advanced degree preferred
  • Extensive experience in project management within the clinical research or healthcare sectors.
  • Strong leadership skills and proven ability to manage cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment.
  • Expertise in project management methodologies and tools, with a focus on delivering results.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and drive change in a complex organization.
  • Willingness to travel as required (approximately 20%)
