Job Description
Us

Born out of a passion for fairness and unforgettable experiences, Tixel is changing the game. We're a rapidly growing ticket marketplace transforming live entertainment and making a real impact by giving fans fearless flexibility to discover and access events they love. Our mission? To become the world's most trusted live event marketplace.

You

You're a seasoned product leader with deep marketplace and growth experience. You know how to scale demand in two-sided markets, balancing supply dynamics with fan obsession. You thrive on ambiguity, hustle, and data-led experimentation, spotting growth levers and pulling them quickly. You're commercially sharp but fan-first, able to design product systems that both delight and scale sustainably. Above all, you're motivated by connecting fans with unforgettable live experiences, and you believe the product is the engine that powers it all.

Role Mission

As Director of Product, you will drive Tixel's product team and strategy for both fans and organisers globally. You'll help design and deliver a roadmap that grows demand and supply, makes selling and buying seamless, and scales our marketplace flywheel.

You'll balance big bets with fast experiments, keep the machine running without being slowed by technical debt and help Tixel replicate wins in new markets. You'll mentor our product team, partner with commercial, customer experience and marketing, and lead with a growth mindset to ensure every fan who touches Tixel comes back again.

The Gig

1. Build a world-class product organisation

  • Establish clear rhythms across strategy, execution, and measurement

  • Lift capability across PM, engineering, and product ops, building a culture of clarity, speed, and fan obsession

  • Role model data-led decision making and a "best idea wins" mindset across the company

  • Deliver improved cross-team collaboration, measured by cadence reliability, stakeholder satisfaction, and velocity

2. Drive fan growth, retention and flywheel momentum

  • Run a structured experimentation program that improves acquisition, conversion and retention

  • Replicate successful fan and organiser growth loops across AU, UK, and US, adapting to local constraints

  • Improve LTV:CAC

  • Use data to strengthen product loops and partner value

3. Own and deliver the global product roadmap

  • Build and deliver a clear, prioritised roadmap across fan and organiser journeys

  • Launch and iterate on projects like the Tixel App, loyalty and credit systems, and a reimagined seller experience with measurable impact

4. Ensure scalable technical and operational foundations

  • Partner with engineering to reduce tech debt and lift delivery velocity without compromising quality

  • Manage build of systems that scale across all markets and key integrations

  • Deliver tangible improvements in velocity, system reliability and cost efficiency

What You Bring
  • Deep experience leading product in marketplace or platform businesses, with proven success scaling supply, demand, and retention

  • Track record of turning a successful core product into a sustainable growth engine through experimentation, prioritisation, and product-led growth.

  • A growth mindset, skilled in experimentation and building flywheels

  • Experience shaping how engineering teams work and putting in place processes that lift velocity and effectiveness

  • Strong commercial acumen, balancing fan experience with long-term ROI

  • Thrives in fast-moving environments, comfortable shipping, learning, and adapting

  • Fluent in data and design, confident diving into metrics and collaborating across engineering, marketing, and commercial teams

  • A mentor and culture builder, with a knack for bringing clarity in ambiguity

Why You'll Love It Here
  • Be part of a fast-paced, high-energy team united by a love of music and live events

  • Real ownership: your work will directly shape the future of Tixel's product and growth

  • We work hard, but we have fun too. Otherwise, what's the point?

  • We're committed to building a team that embraces diverse perspectives and creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and empowered.

  • We're proud of the fact we are family-friendly and have a flexible work environment with our HQ based in Melbourne, Australia and growing teams in the UK and the US

  • You'll get an extra personal day off every month, affectionately known as TDOs (Tixel Day Off)

  • We offer a monthly ticket allowance because live gigs are awesome and we want you testing the product as much as possible

  • We will invest in your development with access to a 'level-up' allowance and make it our priority to help you achieve your career objectives.

Give It A Shot
  • We're not counting the years on your resume. What gets us buzzing is talent and passion. If you've got the fire, we're here to fan the flames!

  • Feeling like you don't tick every box? Stop right there! You're probably selling yourself short. We're on the hunt for hidden gems, so throw your hat in the ring and let's see what you've got.

  • Here at Tixel, we believe that Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) is key to achieving our mission, which means we are dedicated to making our hiring fair, unbiased and inclusive. So, if you're from a background that's not seen enough in our industry - whether you're female, gender diverse, neurodiverse, a person of colour, part of the LGBTQIA+ family or any underrepresented star - we're especially keen to hear from you.
