We are HiringanDirector of Nursing to a leading Nursing home in Clare, Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for all nursing and care services within the facility.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care in accordance with HIQA standards, NMBI guidelines, and relevant legislation.
• Lead, manage, and support nursing and care teams to achieve excellence in clinical practice and resident outcomes.
• Oversee the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care programmes.
• Ensure effective recruitment, retention, supervision, and performance management of staff.
• Manage staffing levels, skill mix, and resource allocation to maintain safe and effective care delivery.
• Promote a culture of continuous quality improvement through audits, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and clinical governance frameworks to support best practice.
• Maintain effective communication with residents, families, multidisciplinary teams, and external stakeholders.
• Manage budgets and resources efficiently while ensuring high standards of care and service provision.
• Lead training, education, and professional development initiatives to enhance staff competence and career progression.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, infection prevention and control, safeguarding, and emergency preparedness requirements.

Requirements

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
• Minimum of three years' experience caring for older persons within the last six years.
• At least three years' proven experience in a nursing management or leadership role.
• Post-registration qualification in Healthcare Management at Level 9 or equivalent.
• Comprehensive knowledge of HIQA standards, relevant legislation, and regulatory requirements governing residential care services.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate, develop, and support multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational, and decision-making abilities.
• Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care and enhancing residents' quality of life.
