KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • LeadtheMaritime Infrastructure Department, being the designated person for EMPROC.
  • Accountable for the day-to-day operation to meet contractual obligations with safety and efficiency in mind, ensuring all team members have received the required training, processes areestablished, documented,maintainedandappropriate riskassessments with systems such asCentrikadopted in line with our SMS.
  • Accountable for all aspects ofMaritime Assets includingPierstheir equipment (e.g. ramps etc),employee welfare spaces,the Welcome Barge and other assets includingHead OfficeClipper House, including but not limited to maintenance(tactical, preventative and life-cycle planning),cleaning, development(new builds and upgrades etc).
  • Accountable forthird party relationships, including with tenants where UBTC is the landlordand with Landlords where UBTC has contractual obligations and service standards tomaintain.
  • Lead on regulatory requirements such as river works licenses asrequiredto supportbusiness requirements
  • Accountable fordevelopingbusiness cases,the purchasing process,budgetand contractmanagementfor theMaritime Infrastructuredepartment.
  • Tosupport therequirements and deliverables of London Cruise andYachtlead and manage marinelogisticsfor cruise ship operations.
  • Toidentifynew environmental and sustainability projects with the view of reducing waste and energy consumption
  • Accountable for the companies Environmental Management Systemwhere highlightedand ISO 14001:2015
  • General Facilities Management responsibilities forThames Clipper locations.
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
  • Maintainand developed theMaritime Infrastructureorganisationalremit, recruiting and trainingappropriate dedicatedand shared resource.
  • Create business plans andestablishproject plans for new andestablishedMaritime Infrastructureprojectsin line with corporate Projects and Procurement strategy.
  • Developand maintain preventative maintenance schedulesand defect rectification across theMaritime Infrastructure remit, including piers,equipmentand offices. Ensureconsistent workplace offeringand standardsacross allofficelocations.
  • Ensure effective processes, recordsand communications channels areestablishedtosupport and manage the requirements of our tenants and landlords asappropriate.
  • Define,implementand deliver processes and risk assessments to ensuresafe, compliant and customercentricservice at our piers for 3rdparty clients (e.gWaverly at Gravesend), ensure effective oversighton operational days asappropriate.
  • Define and deliver agreed KPI's related toMaritime Infrastructure department, including but not limited to pier cleanliness and maintenance metrics.
  • Define and deliver strategic budgets for long term investment requirements into the MaritimeInfrastructureestate.
  • Negotiate annual budgets and manageto those budgets.
  • Identifyand deliver alllegislative requirementsassociated with MaritimeInfrastructure(this includes channel dredging etc)remits such as River Works Licences etc.
  • Communicate withinternaldepartmentsand to bethepoint of contactto ensureMaritime Infrastructure requirements are coordinatedeffectivelywith theobjectivesof the business and other departments.
  • Define thedepartmentaltraining requirements incollaborationwith UBTC SafetyDepartment toensure that allMaritime Infrastructure colleaguesare trained to aclearly definedlevelpertinent to their role.
  • Accountable fornon-staffcosts within theMaritime Infrastructuredepartmentand cruise ship operations, including but not limited totraining costsand ship supplementary equipment toalsocontrol purchases and PO system.
  • Source and manage third party contractors, ensuringdefined scope of services/requirements and manage them to ensure efficient and safe delivery.
  • To communicate and plan, working alongsideFleet and CrewOperationsensuring that allrequirements for London Cruise and Yacht customers are delivered.
  • To give an operational insight to designs for all newpiers and infrastructureasrequired, including officefacilities.
  • Assistin developing andmaintainingeffectiveteamworkwithin departments.
  • Provide and promote the highest level of customerservice, source and provide information onnew technology that can help deliver afirst classexperienceacross the Maritime Infrastructure remit as appropriate.
  • Toassistwith matters of HR within the departmentand support other departmentsincluding investigations and disciplinary hearings
  • Continuously seek ways to improve personal, team and businessperformance.
  • Undertake any other relevant duties orreasonable requestbyCOOand any member of theexecutiveleadershipteam.
  • Ensure that youcomply withall Health and Safety regulations and safe working practice as required by current legislation and the Company's Health and Safety Policy and practices.
  • Ensure that all relevant information is communicated speedily and accurately in away thatensures that the information is received and easilyunderstood.
  • Ensure that all materials and resources are effectively and efficiently utilised to minimise waste and reducecosts.

Requirements KEY SKILLS:

Be able todemonstratean ability to foster close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatoryauthorities

Have worked in an environment which requires excellence in safety,operationsand customerservice

Extensive and demonstrable Marineknowledge suchasserving asMasteror similaroffice-basedrole.

Be able to think strategically andoperateat a managementlevel

Flexible approach including the requirement to be on call andwork outside of normal operational hours, including weekends.
