In this pivotal role you will support officers and members in their work to improve the lives of our communities, champion strong governance and integrity, and ensure the highest standards of conduct and legal compliance.

As the Council's Monitoring Officer, you will oversee a highly regarded elections team and play a lead role in shaping and delivering the changes needed to modernise our constitution.

Key Responsibilities

• Support staff and members to improve community outcomes.
• Champion governance and integrity, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
• Oversee the elections team and oversee monitoring and reporting.
• Shape and deliver constitutional changes to modernise the Council.

Qualifications & Experience

• Senior legal professional with experience in governance and compliance.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience managing or overseeing election processes preferred.
