Your Impact:

As our new Director of HR, you'll be at the heart of our global growth - leading our People strategy across the UK, US, Germany, Vietnam, and beyond. Based full-time in our Leicester city centre office, you'll be a key member of our executive team, partnering directly with the CEO to build a human-first, high-performance culture. You'll guide and scale every aspect of HR - from operations to culture - supported by a skilled People team. This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role, perfect for someone who thrives on strategy, action, and global collaboration.

What you'll do:

  • People Strategy & Leadership
  • Act as the voice of People on the executive team - shaping and delivering a global People strategy that aligns with our mission and growth.
  • Lead all core HR functions, including operations, compliance, performance, and employee relations.
  • Partner with leaders across the business to strengthen culture, boost engagement, and drive real results.
  • Build a high-performing People function that balances smart scalability with a human approach.
  • Talent and Growth
  • Lead global hiring strategies, ensuring we attract and retain exceptional talent.
  • Design and implement career pathways, performance frameworks, and growth plans that unlock potential across every level.
  • Champion our learning and development agenda, expanding programs and driving adoption of our LMS.
  • Build manager capability through targeted training and succession planning tools.
  • Culture & Engagement
  • Build global engagement programs that resonate locally, across cultures, languages, and work styles.
  • Support collaboration and connection across time zones and regions - remote, hybrid, or in-office arrangements.
  • Strengthen how we listen, grow, and lead - through clear feedback loops, meaningful initiatives, and intentional recognition.
  • Embed a culture of accountability, transparency, inclusion, and performance.
  • Operations & Compliance
  • Own global HR systems, payroll, benefits, and compliance - for both employees and contractors.
  • Ensure accurate data, strong reporting, and readiness for audit across all markets.
  • Develop clear, compliant policies and provide strategic guidance on employee relations and risk.
  • Leicester Site Leadership
  • Serve as a senior leader in our UK headquarters, one of our largest and most collaborative offices.
  • Foster cross-functional connection and champion the local employee experience.
  • Oversee the office environment, ensuring it remains a great place to work - every day.

What You'll Bring:

  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience in global, high-growth environments - ideally SaaS, ecommerce, or tech.
  • At least 3-5 years in a senior HR leadership role, influencing executive team exposure and strategic decision-making.
  • CIPD Level 7 qualified or equivalent experience, with expertise in global HR strategy and operations.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and confidence navigating multi-country compliance and employee relations.
  • A people-first leadership style that balances strategic thinking with operational excellence.

Why clearer.io?

  • We believe in making things simpler - for our customers, and for each other. That means clarity, purpose, and progress guide everything we do.
  • Customers at the heart: We obsess over their needs so we can grow together.
  • Purposeful progress: We don't settle. We take initiative and embrace bold thinking.
  • Endless innovation: We refine, improve, and take meaningful action.
  • Always open: We build trust through transparency and global collaboration.

Clear Benefits:

  • Private Medical Insurance
  • A vibrant office in Leicester city centre
  • Global exposure and meaningful executive ownership
  • A chance to help shape the future of a scaling tech company

We're here to make things clearer - in ecommerce and in employee experience. If that sounds like your kind of role, we'd love to hear from you.
