Director of Finance Recovery
Posted 9 days 19 hours ago by NHS
Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust have a significant underlying financial deficit. The Trust must deliver a Cost Improvement Programme in 2026/27 & 2027/28 of £33m.
The Trust has developed a Financial Recovery Plan for 2025/26 and is seeking to build on that progress with the development of a Financial Sustainability Plan over the coming years. The initial focus of the post holder will be to drive implementation and delivery against the 2026/27 Cost Improvement Plan, provide, and improve assurance on progress and identify potential risks and mitigations to delivery.
The post holder will lead on identifying how the remaining gap will be closed, confirming the related tasks and responsibilities needed to achieve this. These initial tasks will need to be completed at pace to ensure we can meet our financial targets for the year. They will also be expected to develop the longer-term Financial Sustainability Plan to ensure delivery of breakeven in 2028/29 without Deficit Support Funding.
