Director, AI Enablement & Digital Strategy Financial Services (Large Cap) £140,000 - £160,000 + circa 25% bonus (discretionary)

La Fosse is pleased to be partnering with a large-cap financial services organisation on the appointment of a Director, AI Enablement & Digital Strategy. This senior, high-impact role is for a strategic leader who can translate digital, data and AI capabilities into measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities Strategy & Leadership

• Define and deliver a coherent digital and AI enablement strategy
• Develop and maintain strategic roadmaps, refining priorities as business needs evolve.

AI Enablement, Governance & Adoption

• Lead the organisation's approach to AI enablement, including responsible adoption of Generative AI and intelligent automation.
• Establish governance, reporting and operating models to support safe, ethical and compliant AI use.
• Drive adoption of AI tools across different departments, embedding them into everyday ways of working.
• Partner with data science, engineering and delivery teams to ensure use cases are well defined and effectively executed.

Value Creation & Change

• Identify and prioritise high-impact digital and AI opportunities with measurable outcomes (efficiency, insight, risk reduction).
• Translate opportunities into clear, fundable business cases with defined benefits and ROI.
• Champion a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement, influencing stakeholders up to ExCo level.

About You

• Proven experience in digital, data and AI strategy, ideally within financial services.
• Experience enabling or scaling AI and/or Generative AI use cases with clear business outcomes.
• Practical understanding of AI governance and responsible adoption.
• You do not need to have led a centralised enterprise AI function previously - this role is focused on enablement, influence and value realisation.
