Husqvarna Group is seeking an experienced and strategic Human Resources leader to join us as the Director of People & Organization (P&O) Operations for the DACH region, covering Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. In this critical leadership position, you will be responsible for shaping and enhancing our people operations, supporting a dynamic, innovative, and globally oriented organization.

Location: Ulm, Germany. With the possibility to work in a hybrid setup.

Director, People & Organization Operations - DACH Region About the Role

As the Director of P&O Operations for the DACH region, you will be responsible for securing the smooth and efficient delivery of People & Organization (P&O) processes across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. You'll ensure our employee lifecycle services are consistent, compliant, and impactful across all sites in the region. This includes close collaboration with country P&O teams, divisional leaders, and our newly established Global Business Solutions (GBS) organization which aims to deliver unified and efficient HR services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure consistent and compliant HR service delivery across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, aligned with local labor laws, the Group's Code of Conduct, and internal policies.
  • Manage the implementation of GBS transformation initiatives to drive operational excellence and standardization of processes across countries.
  • Establish and manage a network of local HR contacts to coordinate site-level HR practices, communication, and employee experiences.
  • Ensure alignment with corporate people processes, such as the annual People Cycle (e.g., performance reviews, development planning).
  • Oversee KPIs and reporting to track and drive continuous improvement in HR services.
  • Responsibility for Employee, Health and Safety for DACH region in order to secure consistent approaches to health, well-being, and rehabilitation on country level across regions.
  • Participation in the development of regional compensation and benefits strategies, responsibility for implementation in the region
  • Drive effective labor relations, ensuring compliance with collective agreements and labor law, including negotiations with unions and works councils.
  • Support strategic workforce planning and talent acquisition, including market-leading attraction strategies tailored to the DACH region.
  • Provide HR support to senior business leaders in the region, acting as a trusted advisor and partner.
  • Manage and develop a regional team, including full responsibility for budget and resource planning.
About You

We're looking for someone who brings both strategic vision and hands-on experience in HR operations, particularly in complex, international environments.

You have:

  • A university degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Extensive HR leadership experience, including team management, within large or global organizations.
  • Broad and deep experience in the field of payroll accounting / compensation & benefits
  • Sound knowledge of wage tax and social security law
  • Experience in the application of collective labor agreements
  • A deep understanding of German labor law and employment legislation across the DACH region.
  • Strong experience in driving HR transformation and process improvements.
  • Proven success in working with labor unions and works councils.
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills.
  • High analytical ability and methodological competence
  • Fluency in German and English (written and spoken).
  • A passion for creating a positive, compliant, and consistent employee experience.
