For our EU Tax Team in Amsterdam we are looking for a

Direct Tax Associate (m/f/d)

About the Role:

• Supporting the delivery and process management of corporate tax and withholding tax compliance arrangements in each country and to highlight and drive process efficiencies where needed
• Review from a tax perspective the compliance documents and ensure they are filed by the required statutory deadline
• Work with local teams and advisors to assist in the tax provisioning for inclusion in local statutory accounts
• Work with the local teams and external advisors to understand the business and the tax issues that arise and need to be addressed
• Support with preparation of position papers/memos about corporate tax, withholding tax, and TP related topics
• Support with preparation of direct tax consultations and presentations with external consultants and parties
• Provide ad-hoc support and advice for internal questions
• Providing strategic cross border tax advice and support, and supporting tax audits
• Contributing to the development and maintenance of the EU tax control framework
• Monitor changes in local tax legislation and analyze the impact on the group

About You:

• University degree at Bachelor level or above in (International) Tax Law or Tax Economics
• Between 1 to 3 years of experience in Big 4 or similar company
• Ability to quickly analyze data and make recommendations
• Self-motivated, eager to learn and to develop yourself
• Hands-on, pro-active, and dedicated
• Able to work independently and take ownership
• Loyal, a great communicator and a good sense of humor!
