Direct Payment Worker - Anlaby Common

Responsibilities

• General domestic tasks
• Light gardening
• Preparation of evening meals
• Shopping for groceries and making drinks and snacks
• Assistance with dressing and support with circulation boosting exercise/physio exercises
• Support for going out for coffee and accessing the community
• Participation in social activities of the lady's choice and shopping
• Support with housework (details to be discussed at interview)

Schedule

24 hours per week: Monday 12:30 - 5:30, Tuesday 1:00 - 5:00, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 12:30 - 5:30.

Work Environment

Must be comfortable in a smoke free and vape free environment, as exposure may negatively impact health.

Driving

A full clean driving licence is required in case the lady's vehicle must be driven.

Background Checks

DBS/Reference checks required; enhanced DBS clearance. Cost to be met by the local authority.

Occupational Requirement

A genuine occupational requirement for a female worker exists for this post under the Equality Act 2010 due to privacy and decency.

Travel

Some travel across East Riding of Yorkshire may be required; applicants must be able to transport themselves.
