Training Specialist - Academic Partnerships

Salary: £43,277 to £51,714pa inclusive with potential to progress to £55,497 pa inclusive of London allowance (pro rata)

Contract type: fixed term appointment until 31 July 2026 with a potential extension pending funding.

The Digital Skills Lab provides LSE students with a range of opportunities to develop their digital skills in a practical and engaging way. Working closely with academic departments, LSE Careers and LSE LIFE to provide a holistic service, the Digital Skills Lab's mission is to create digitally confident social scientists.

The Training Specialist - Academic Partnerships postholder will work as part of a team of trainers, supporting the delivery and coordination of effective and engaging technical training that is tailored to use cases in academic disciplines or key industries. The role will require the postholder to:

  • Work with Learning Developers and academic colleagues on the curation and delivery of effective and engaging training opportunities that support and enhance students' academic courses and future employment prospects.
  • Establish good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, proactively seeking out valuable opportunities for the LSE community.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of events, from planning through to execution, with support from colleagues as appropriate.

Applicants must have excellent communication and networking skills and extensive experience in designing and delivering digital skills training. The successful candidate will be proficient in at least one business analysis tool (Excel or Power BI) and in at least one data science tool (Python or R) and have prior experience working with other stakeholders to deliver successful learning outcomes. Experience in performance consulting and a professional training or teaching qualification is desirable.
