Digital Portfolio Manager

Purpose of the role: To drive the success of the commercial banking segment through market analysis, product development, sales and relationship management, risk management, and performance.
Responsibilities- Execute market research to understand the competitive landscape, identify market trends and opportunities, and develop strategies to capture market share within the commercial banking segment, considering industry, size, and growth stage.
- Develop appropriate pricing models for different products and services, ensuring profitability while remaining competitive.
- Develop, implement and manage innovative financial solutions, services and products aligned to the bank's objectives for the commercial banking segment, including loan products, cash management solutions, and trade finance services.
- Identify and forge strategic partnerships with other financial institutions, technology providers, or industry experts to expand product offerings and reach new client segments.
- Manage key stakeholder relationships within target companies to understand their needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Develop and implement sales strategies including the establishment of sales targets, identification of sales channels to reach potential clients, and objectives for loan terms to support negotiations and service agreements.
- Monitor key leading and lagging metrics (e.g., new client acquisition, loan volume, revenue generation, market share) to assess the performance of the commercial banking segment.
- Optimise funnel and journey to deliver service and improve commercial performance.
- Experience managing a portfolio of technology change delivery work or a transformation programme.
- Experience in financial management such as forecasting, budgeting, tracking costs and benefits.
- Experience in bidding for funding and developing business cases.
- Analytical background with experience in reporting and strong Excel skills.
- Ability to manage and influence stakeholders.
- Knowledge of change delivery frameworks; understand Agile lab models, roadmaps, and productivity measures.
- Some highly valued skills: knowledge of using JIRA and Confluence; good communication skills; understanding regulatory frameworks (FCA, PRA, Consumer Duty, and data compliance requirements).
- Capacity to assess key critical skills relevant for success in role: risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, and digital and technology.
- Role can be based in London (1CP) or Knutsford.
As a Digital Portfolio Manager, you will help ensure technology projects deliver value and align with the digital strategy. You will report to senior leadership, help with business cases, manage stakeholders, oversee funding, track progress, and ensure projects align with regulatory and compliance requirements.
