Job Description

Role Title: Digital Manufacturing Engineer - Supply Chain and Site

Location: Warrington, Derby, Manchester - flexible UK based

We are now recruiting for the exciting role of Digital Manufacturing Engineer - Supply Chain and Site.

The main objectives of DM - Supply Chain and Site Engineer are to support data transfer, establish data standards and standardise digital language across the RR SMR value chain. This will include, but not be limited to, CAD geometry, specifications and procedures through to physical product and the associated documents and data produced throughout manufacture and assembly.

The DME will assist building maturity, and continuous improvement of digital systems and technology covering people, process, information and tools to a point where they are ready for production implementation across the entire RR SMR value chain.

The role requires strong collaboration across the wider Design, ME, Supply Chain, Operations, and SMR IT teams to capture requirements and continuously improve the look and feel of the digital systems covering all aspects of manufacturing technology, consumption of design information, generating methods, and processes execution to support the successful delivery of RR SMR modules products, and site factory operations, including capture of as built, and configuration data through life.

The successful candidate will:

- Have proven ability to develop, deploy and support manufacturing digital systems into a supply chain settings.

- Demonstrate that product and process safety is of paramount importance through assuring products through design and manufacture, complying with all applicable legislation and codes of professional conduct.

- Have proven ability to define, plan, monitor and control projects, programmes, and work packages, ensuring the work is delivered to cost, quality and schedule while communicating this complex technical information in a simple and effective way.

- Have proven ability to collate and validate user requirements, understand the implications for the components of a Digital Manufacturing System (People, Process and Tools), define interfaces and data flows using mapping tools and to describe business and end user implications of a Digital Manufacturing Systems implementation within a business and define test procedures to mitigate the implications.

- Have ability to integrate well within a project team in a commercial environment.
