The Technology Department delivers differentiation, scalability and security for the business. Reporting to the COO, Technology provides digital tools, software services and infrastructure globally to all business groups. Software development and support teams work in agile 'streams' aligned to specific business areas. Our other teams work enterprise-wide to provide critical services including our global service desk, network and system infrastructure, IT operations, security, enterprise architecture and design.

The Design team sits within the Technology department, and reports to the CTO, working closely with the Corporate Affairs team. Our main focus is on the production of high quality and consistent creative output that includes branding, websites, communication, and product design.

The Digital Designer will be responsible for the design and ongoing maintenance of our digital presence across the Marex website estate. This includes managing the end-to-end design process-spanning stakeholder engagement, UX and UI design, and close collaboration with developers. Our websites are built using a sophisticated, product-focused design system in Figma. The role will also involve working with the product team to maintain and evolve this system specifically for web use.

Responsibilities:

Web Design & Execution
• Lead website design projects from concept through to final delivery, ensuring responsive, intuitive, and brand-consistent experiences.
• Collaborate with brand, marketing, and development teams to balance creativity with functionality and performance.
• Design and deliver UX and UI components across a range of digital touchpoints, including websites, landing pages, and client portals.
• Stay informed on best practices in digital design, accessibility, SEO, and front-end technologies to ensure designs are robust and future-fit.

Design System & Brand Consistency
• Maintain and evolve Marex's web design system in Figma, working closely with the product team to ensure consistency, scalability, and usability.
• Uphold and develop digital brand standards across all web platforms, ensuring visual coherence and quality.
• Translate brand campaigns and marketing initiatives into engaging, interactive web experiences.
• Collaborate with external vendors or developers when needed to support delivery or technical integration.

Competencies, Skills and Experience:

Essential Skills
•Specialised experience inweb design (financial services or corporate B2B a plus).
•Strong portfolio demonstrating UX/UI expertise and digital design capabilities.
•Advanced in Adobe Creative Suite (XD, Photoshop, Illustrator).
•Advanced in Figma
•Experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress or HubSpot.
•Familiarity with SEO and web accessibility standards.

Additional preferred skills (not required)
Video Editing:
• Create short promotional videos, animations, and branded video content for our website estate
• Ability to storyboard, edit, and add motion graphics that align with Marex's visual identity.
Motion Design:
• Develop motion design assets, mockups, and interactive 3D elements for our web estate
• Integrate animation into digital platforms or video content where relevant.
Other Skills:
• Proficiency in video editing tools (Premiere Pro, After Effects).
• Experience with 3D design software (Blender, Cinema 4D).
• Knowledge of web builders and asset editors (Framer, Webflow, Lottie, Adobe Express)
